Fazenda Coffee Roasters relocates

Fazenda Coffee Roasters, Boston’s leading specialty coffee and tea roastery, has moved its operations to 95 Commerce Way in Dedham, MA.

Relocating to the new, 8,000 square foot facility has allowed the company to purchase additional raw coffee and roasting equipment, resulting in improved efficiency and flow of production. Owner/Founder, Phil Schein said the of move, “This is something that had been in the works for many years. When the pandemic hit, we had to become efficient and figure out how to expand our retail and subscription business. Now, with a larger facility, we are in the process of adding a second roaster, which was never a possibility before. In addition, the added space has allowed us to house a fully functioning lab where we can conduct more testing, sample roasting, and cupping.”

The biggest challenge the company faced in the process of moving locations was disassembling, transporting, and reassembling their Loring S70 coffee roaster. With sustainability at the forefront of Fazenda Coffee Roaster’s mission, the Loring 70 offers up to 80% fuel-savings and reduction of greenhouse gases in every roast, compared to conventional roasters. In addition, all retail and wholesale coffee bags are made with recyclable materials and sealed with a nitrogen flush packaging machine.

Fazenda Coffee Roasters opened its first roasting location in 2008, when Schein also operated a small café in Jamacia Plain, MA. After selling the cafe in 2010, Schein and his team continued their focus to the wholesale roasting business. Presently, in addition to Fazenda’s e-commerce subscription and retail business, they supply specialty coffee and tea to over 100 restaurants, cafes, bakeries, and specialty shops nationwide.

Fazenda Coffee Roasters strives to adhere to the highest standards in work, with a priority in supporting our local economy, sourcing coffees that promote social and environmental stewardship. Fazenda’s roasting facility is located at 95 Commerce Way Dedham, MA. The roastery is open Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm for local pickup and for online ordering by visiting www.fazendacoffee.com. For wholesale opportunities please contact [email protected].
