Coffee company, Blank Street, opens first stores in London

Blank Street, the small-format specialty coffee brand from Brooklyn, NY, is bringing its quality espresso to the UK for the first time this summer with the opening of its debut London locations.

Looking to give customers a quality, convenient and vibrant experience to enjoy the best specialty coffee in the city, co-founders Issam Freiha and Vinay Menda launched Blank Street in the summer of 2020 in New York and have already grown to 40 locations across Brooklyn and Manhattan.

The duo are now bringing their unique coffee experience that New Yorkers have come to know and love to London. Offering high-quality on-the-go coffee from Blank Street locations or mobile app (where customers can order in advance for pick-up) making the daily coffee run, quick, easy and hassle-free.

Blank Street’s innovative formula, which includes technology-enabled micro-footprint brick-and-mortar spaces, allows them to offer higher quality products, at lower prices, in more locations. With smarter tech integrated into each store, Blank Street baristas are able to focus on delivering an amazing customer experience.

For launch, Blank Street has partnered with Origin, one of the longest-standing specialty coffee
roasters in the UK for customers to enjoy in-store or purchase Origin coffee beans to use at home. On-the-go London consumers can expect to pay £3 or under for a small coffee – from an americano to an oat flat white.

Blank Street will also offer a selection of takeaway sweet and savoury pastries, along with a fun “Signatures” menu featuring a variety of hero iced drinks such as Pistachio Latte, Strawberry & Cream Iced Latte and Matcha Lemonade.

“Having grown up in London, this is an extra special moment for me,’ said co-founder Issam Freiha.‘We’re thrilled to be joining London’s coffee culture and committed to providing an incredibly reliable experience to our neighbours – expect consistent quality, speed, great prices, and baristas you will absolutely adore.”
