Horlicks launches pods

Hot beverage brand Horlicks has launched its original malted milk drink in a pod format.

Consumers can now enjoy Horlicks at the touch of a button and customise how to enjoy their drink – using one pod for a fast shot, or two pods for a long, relaxing experience.

Compatible with Dolce Gusto pod machines, Horlicks Pods deliver a convenient, easy-to-make drink that’s frothy and creamy in texture.

Michelle Younger, marketing manager at Aimia Foods said: “Pods are a natural extension for the brand. Pods are now worth over £12m and have 10% share of Hot Milky Drinks category, and as the number one brand in hot malted drinks, this is an area we are intent on developing. Pods allow our loyal consumers to enjoy the goodness of Horlicks in a quick and convenient way, ensuring the same unique malty taste and creaminess every time, whilst attracting new consumers who are eager to try new products in their pod machine.
