Firsd Tea Launches Two-Province Tea Tour in China

Firsd Tea invites tea and coffee professionals to join us on a six-day China tea tour this May 7-12, 2025. The tour includes 2 tea factories, tea farm areas, and tea cultural sites in Anhui and Zhejiang provinces. Dive deep into China‘s tea production and tea culture during this 6-day tour through 2 of China’s most productive and world-famous tea provinces. Visit some of the leading tea-producing facilities in the country while taking in the local culture and breathtaking locations that combine tea farms, scenic natural beauty, and World Heritage Sites. This group travel package includes transportation, entry fees, accommodations, and meals as listed on the complete itinerary.
The first portion of the trip takes you to the Huangshan (Yellow Mountain) area of Anhui Province. A visit to the Xie Yuda Tea Garden and Tea Museum includes traditional tea manufacture tools and maofeng tea culture items and also offers tea ceremony performances and tea tastings. Next, walk along Tunxi Old Street, an 800 year-old trade and merchant area considered to be a key cultural relic of China. This pedestrian street offers architecture, antiques, traditional snacks, and local teas. Spend a day taking in the beauty and grandeur of Huangshan (Yellow Mountain), a World Heritage Site famous for scenic peaks, sweeping views, and seas of clouds. Travels through Anhui conclude with a tour of the Xiangyuan Tea Factory, a renowned producer of Qimen (Keemun) black tea, and exploration of the ancient village of Hongcun, with its picturesque scenes and style that date back to the time of Marco Polo.
The remaining three days of the tour are spent in Zhejiang province, beginning with Jingshan Temple, first built in the Tang Dynasty. Early disciples of the Rinzai sect of Japanese Buddhism studied there, helping give birth to the Japanese tea ceremony. The area is also known as the location where Lu Yu wrote his famous Tea Classic (Cha Jing). From there, tour the Transworld Tea Factory, known as a major producer of matcha and other green teas. A visit to the West Lake Longjing tea region provides the travel group with a chance to participate in tea plucking, pan-firing, and tea tasting. The China Tea Museum’s exhibition halls and tea art reveal more about the country’s tea history, tea utensils, and tea customs. Then a stop at Meijiawu village provides a look into one of the main production areas of Longjing (dragonwell) tea. Finally, wind down a little and enjoy some of the many scenic spots along Hangzhou’s iconic West Lake. A boat tour offers great views of the famous lake and surrounding hills. Relax and grab snacks and any last-minute souvenirs from Qinghefang Street. This cultural landmark is the street to find local delicacies, specialty shops, and teahouses.
The trip includes four-star accommodations in separate hotel rooms, meals featuring local cuisines, admissions to included locations, and transportation between the various sites in Anhui and Zhejiang provinces.
