Geisha sells for US$10,020/KG at the inaugural Dubai Coffee Auction

The DMCC (Dubai Multi Commodities Centre) Coffee Centre, in partnership with M-Cultivo, hosted the inaugural Dubai Coffee Auction during World of Coffee Dubai (10-12 February) 2025. The event witnessed record-breaking prices for some of the world’s finest coffees, including a Geisha variety from Finca Sophia, Panama, which fetched a staggering US$10,020 per kilogram.
The auction, which concluded on 12 February, featured 16 exceptional lots from 11 renowned producers across 9 countries, showcasing the diversity and quality of specialty coffee worldwide. Other notable achievements include:
• Record-breaking Hawaiian Coffee: A Kona SL 34 from Hawaii sold for US$910 per kilogram, surpassing previous records by an 8X margin.
• Highest-priced Bolivian Coffee: La Llama from Los Rodriguez achieved a record price of US$350 per kilogram for any previously auctioned Bolivian coffee.
• Ethiopian Coffee Record: Geisha Village Oma Natural set a new record for Ethiopian coffee, selling for US$1,100 per kilogram.
