First keynote announced for Tea & Coffee World Conference 2019

Tea & Coffee World Conference is very pleased to announce the first keynote of the 2019 event. Jennifer Liu of The Coffee Academics, Hong Kong, will be opening the conference, 24 September 2019.

Recently featured in the books “Born to Be Boss” and “Those Who Inspire Hong Kong”, Jennifer is the Founder, Chairman and CEO of The Coffee Academics. Jennifer is a multi-award winning entrepreneur with a Bachelor’s Degree from Cornell University in New York.

The Coffee Academics

Since its inauguration, The Coffee Academics has been setting the standards in coffee quality. Taking Hong Kong’s coffee culture to new heights and offering a unique sensory playground for coffee aficionados in Singapore and now Shanghai, their guests enjoy the latest innovations and technologies that enhance this coffee experience.

Last year, the Sullivan and Frost Report ranked them first in speciality coffee in Hong Kong. The Coffee Academics also offer the world’s first custom coffee blending service available B2C. They locally roast 30+ single origin coffee beans from worldly coffee farms that associate with charities.

Ms Liu single-handedly founded The Coffee Academics in Hong Kong 2012 and has since grown the speciality coffee brand to Mainland China and Singapore, with many more on the way. She is highly in touch with the speciality Arabica coffee industry, selling blends rated by the International Coffee Review at 92points and above.

Liu’s Achievements

Jennifer has curated a large number of F&B brands, that were actualised by her vast mix of inspirations of which Jennifer has accumulated throughout her diverse experiences, especially from her extensive travel. From boutique neighbourhood cafes such as caffe HABITU and Suzuki Café Company, to speciality coffee houses such as Roastery Lab and Blanc’scape and The Coffee Academics.

With an expansive perspective and stylish eye for detail, Jennifer has successfully accomplished a range of tenacious international businesses and lifestyle brands. The fruition to her vision, creativity and hard work are evident and ubiquitous in Hong Kong and the rest of Asia alike. To date, more than 30 restaurants, cafes, kitchens and academics spaces offer carefully curated epicurean experiences.

Awards

Throughout the years, Jennifer’s achievements have been continually recognised through numerous prestigious awards including South China Morning Post “25 Women of our Time 2012”, City Magazine “18 Notable Women in Social Business”, Capital Magazine “CEO of the Year” in both 2007 and 2014 and recently received “Most Outstanding Women of Hong Kong” by the Women Development Association of Hong Kong 2016; as well as Jessica Magazine “Most Successful Women 2017”. This is only a fragment of Jennifer’s recognised achievements.

A confident and inspiring speaker, Jennifer is widely sought-after to give talks, interviews and special appearances by notable and influential publications, media platforms and or organisations. These include but not limited to BBC, Bloomberg, Invest HK, CNBC, Allegra World Coffee Portal in New York.
