Community Coffee expands

Community Coffee Company announced the opening of its newest sales location in St Louis, Missouri. . The St Louis location, which opens this month, is the first in Missouri and joins 23 other sales locations across the south.

“This new 6,000-square-foot facility expands our presence into the St. Louis market and makes it possible to get our rich, smooth tasting coffee in the hands of more of our customers,” said David Belanger, president & CEO of Community Coffee Company.

The new location will serve as a sales and distribution center for St Louis and the surrounding suburbs, along with some cities in Illinois and will serve all local grocery stores, convenience stores, office accounts and restaurants. The building will be a location for loading and unloading route trucks, an office space, and storage of our coffee and tea products. The warehouse/sales office is located at 8236 Brentwood Industrial Drive, Brentwood, Missouri. Community Coffee Company employs five sales team members at this location.

The facility will support the recent agreement between Community Coffee and the St Louis Cardinals in which the company will hold the title of the “Proud Coffee Partner of the St Louis Cardinals.” Community coffee will be sold at concession stands and served in luxury suites at Busch Stadium, creating a new game-day beverage experience for Cardinals fans. The partnership includes a permanent 3×15 sign behind home plate, a two-game sponsorship, radio promotion, media outreach, and social media during the season. Community Coffee will also be featured in the Cardinals program with our local retailers.

The partnership with the St Louis Cardinals is Community Coffee’s second this year. The company, the largest family owned and operated retail coffee brand in America, announced that Community coffee products will be served on all Southwest Airlines flights beginning 1 March.

Southwest’s partnership with Community coffee expands its complimentary in-flight offerings to include Community Signature Blend, Signature Blend Instant Decaf Sticks, and Community Hot Tea Bags.

“We continuously look for ways to enhance the customer experience onboard our aircraft, and Community coffee hits the spot,” said Sonya Lacore, Southwest Airlines vice president of cabin services, Dallas, Texas. “Community Coffee Company offers a high-quality product and shares our commitment to invest in the communities where our customers, employees and suppliers live and work.”

For every pound of Community coffee served on a Southwest flight, the airline and Community Coffee Company will provide funding to the ECOM Foundation, a nonprofit organization focused on ensuring a better life for origin producers. The donations will fund educational programs to support the children, families, and farmers in Mexico where Community Coffee Company’s high-quality Arabica coffee beans are grown.

“Southwest Airlines customers will not only enjoy the rich, smooth flavor of Community Signature Blend coffee during their flights but will be a part of giving back to the coffee growers and their families through educational support programs,” said Community’s Belanger. “Southwest and Community Coffee Company are a perfect partnership of heart and family.”
