5 to go, the Romanian-founded coffee shop chain, enters 2026 with clear objectives for growth and consolidation, both domestically and internationally.
For the current year, the brand targets a turnover of EUR 72 million and plans to expand its network to 15 locations in Bulgaria, 10 in the Republic of Moldova – double the current number – and two locations in Ireland, while aiming to reach a total of 1,000 5 to go coffee shops by 2028.
International expansion continues at a strong pace. Starting 12 February 2026, 5 to go will open its first coffee shop in Dublin, in a 140-square-meter location with a concept adapted to the local market. In Bulgaria, the brand has already inaugurated its first location in Sofia, complementing the two existing coffee shops in Ruse, with two additional locations scheduled to open in Varna in May 2026.
At the same time, 5 to go maintains a consistent development rhythm in its home market, targeting approximately 100 new coffee shops per year, which translates into the opening of a new location every 60 hours on average.
Marking 11 years since its launch, 5 to go also introduces in 2026 a new communication approach, “Cafeaua mea” (“My Coffee”), centred on the authentic relationship built over time between the brand and its consumers. The concept reflects everyday coffee rituals and the emotional connection customers have developed with 5 to go as part of their daily lives.
In parallel, the brand continues to invest in the development of its franchise ecosystem and in innovation. For 2026, 5 to go plans the launch of new product concepts under the 5 to go Bakery umbrella, as well as the opening of a Matcha Bar concept, a dedicated space designed to explore new recipes and products developed around matcha, a segment on a strong upward consumption trend. The company will also further expand its retail partnerships and at-home product portfolio.
