The International Women’s Coffee Alliance (IWCA) is pleased to announce new leadership for its Global Board of Directors. Emily Bollinger has been appointed president, and Shelby Colley has been appointed vice president.

This leadership transition reflects IWCA’s continued focus on strong governance, strategic growth, and cross-sector collaboration in support of women across the global coffee value chain. Together, Emily and Shelby bring complementary strengths in sourcing, logistics, brand strategy, and organizational leadership—positioning IWCA to deepen its impact and strengthen connections across producing and consuming markets.

Emily Bollinger has served on the IWCA Global Board since March 2021 and brings deep institutional knowledge and operational expertise to her role as president. She is Green Coffee logistics manager at Peet’s Coffee, where she manages complex supply chain operations that connect coffee producers to roastery teams. Her experience spans green coffee logistics, inventory management, quality alignment and cross-functional coordination. With a background in environmental science and prior experience in the wine industry, Emily brings a rigorous, systems-level perspective to agricultural supply chains and sustainability. Her leadership is grounded in both professional expertise and a longstanding commitment to advancing women’s participation and leadership in coffee.

Shelby Colley steps into the role of vice president with 15 years of brand and marketing leadership in the food and beverage sector. She currently serves as vice president of marketing at Equator Coffees, a Bay Area–based B Corp recognized for its commitment to sustainability, equity and quality. Shelby has held positions at Peet’s Coffee and Vivino, leading brand strategy, subscription growth and customer engagement across digital and physical channels. She previously served as secretary of the IWCA Global Board and is known for a values-driven leadership approach that connects purpose with performance.

“The work led by IWCA’s chapters, staff and board demonstrates the power of connection across the global coffee community,” said Shelby. “I’m honoured and excited to step into the role of vice president and help strengthen the organization’s role in building bridges that link women, resources and opportunity across regions and markets.”

With chapters in 36 countries worldwide, IWCA works to empower women across all segments of the coffee industry through leadership development, market access, and global collaboration. Under this new board leadership, IWCA will continue connecting people, markets, and opportunity across the global coffee value chain.
