The Spice & Tea Exchange, a specialty retail brand offering fine spices, hand-mixed seasoning blends, and exotic teas from around the world, has unveiled its refreshed franchise program in tandem with new, nationwide development plans.
Currently operating in 38 states with nearly 100 units and an immersive retail model that emphasizes experiential shopping, the brand is looking to increase its footprint in quaint, historic towns and tourist hubs across New England and the Midwest.
In addition to targeted expansion across the Northeast and Midwest, the brand will open four additional locations by the end of 2025, bringing gourmet spice and seasoning blends to Brighton, MI; Delray Beach, FL; Noblesville, IN; Apex, NC.
“We want to be the franchise of choice for quality, distinctive seasonings and teas, while generating excitement in the marketplace by immersing our guests in the unique sights, smells, and tastes of The Spice & Tea Exchange. Being able to give franchisees the power to create and share the experience of a more flavourful life embodies our mission of supporting our communities,” said Tatum Crews, vice president of sales. “This past year has been huge for us in terms of scaling up to prepare for our refreshed franchise opportunity. We will be moving into a 90,000 square-foot distribution centre to keep up with this new phase of growth and are ready to welcome aspiring business owners into our family.”
The Spice & Tea Exchange stores deliver a full sensory experience through tastings and interactive product education. Recent innovations in-store such as the tea bars, digital menus, and Create & Share kits boost customer engagement and revenue. The store’s new Tea Bar format is a recent addition to new franchise buildouts that operate like an average café, offering tastings and teas to-go for thirsty or curious customers.
