Birchall Tea, the award-winning British tea brand known for its commitment to quality and sustainability, has announced its new listing with Waitrose. From 9 March, a range of Birchall’s teas will be available on Waitrose shelves across the UK, marking a significant milestone in the brand’s expansion.

This strategic listing ensures strong national coverage across Waitrose’s larger format stores. The Great Rift 80s, a staple in the Birchall range, will be available in Waitrose’s 5, 4, and 3-bay tea aisle stores (252 in total), meaning widespread availability across nearly all locations. Meanwhile, the speciality teas, including serengeti, earl grey, red berry and lemon & ginger, will be featured in 72 of Waitrose’s flagship superstores, offering premium selections to discerning tea lovers nationwide.

“We are thrilled to partner with Waitrose, a retailer that shares our values of quality and ethical sourcing,” said Daniel Graham, managing director at Birchall Tea. “This listing will allow more consumers to experience the exceptional taste and freshness of our teas, reinforcing our commitment to delivering the finest blends to tea lovers across the UK.”

Birchall Tea has built a strong reputation for its expertly crafted, single-origin teas and its dedication to sustainability. The company holds carbon neutral and plastic-free accreditations, reflecting its continuous efforts to lead the industry in environmentally responsible practices. The products are packed by Birchall in the UK’s only fully solar-powered factory, in Wiltshire.
