2021 Specialty Coffee Expo postponed to September – October 2021

After much conversation with exhibitors and sponsors, local partners, and the Board of Directors, the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) has announced that the 2021 Specialty Coffee Expo scheduled to take place in New Orleans in April will be postponed to 30 September – 3 October 2021.

The consensus was reportedly that a postponement to the fall would be a safer, more prudent option, and will allow the SCA’s community and participating businesses more time to recover from the pandemic.

The schedule for the 2021 Specialty Coffee Expo will be as follows:

  • 30 September: Launch Party and Discover Live (the SCA has said more information on this new feature is coming soon)
  • 1-3 October: Exhibits, Education and Competitions

The SCA says it understands the impact that postponing the Expo may have on the businesses of its exhibitors and attendees, and how important it is to find meaningful ways to stay connected and informed with market trends and innovations. To help facilitate those connections and promote lead generation, the SCA will be launching a new online platform in the coming months where coffee professionals can easily find and engage with 2020 and 2021 Expo exhibitors. Subscribers to the Expo newsletter will receive an email when this new platform launches.

If you registered to attend or exhibit at the 2021 Specialty Coffee Expo, the SCA asks that you check your inbox for an email with important information. If you have not received an email, the SCA advises contacting its events team. For attendee questions, contact Brittney Kushi at [email protected] and for Exhibitor questions, email [email protected].

The largest coffee event in North America, the Specialty Coffee Expo attracts more than 14,000 attendees and over 500 exhibitors from more than 75 countries.
