QTrade officially debuts Sungarden Matcha division at WOC San Diego

QTrade has been around for over 32 years, but this year the tea, herbals, botanicals and spice supplier recognised the opportunity and the need to expand its matcha program by creating a separate division altogether. Sungarden Matcha was born out of the rising demand and popularity for matcha as well as the increasing complexities around managing the supply chain for matcha.

Sungarden has its own procurement team and dedicated manufacturing capacity to meet the needs of its partners. Its development efforts have also shifted due to the types of clients that are interested in working with Sungarden.

Sungarden Matcha exhibited at the National Coffee Association (NCA) Convention in March but World of Coffee San Diego is its official launch given the audience and exposure. Sungarden operates within the B2B world and is focused on building strategic partnerships with brands and manufacturers. Sungarden Matcha is not operating in the retail space.

Sungarden will also be promoting other tea-based products to support coffee brands and café concepts, including:

  • Fresh brewed iced tea.
  • Whole leaf sachets.
  • Cold brew & sweet brew teas.
