Independent coffee specialists, Missing Bean, welcome spring with three new ethically sourced releases, sourced from Ruonzi in Rwanda, Banko Gotiti in Ethiopia and Chilchos Valley in Peru.

Rwanda – Ruronzi (£16.25, 250g)

This special blend is from the Ruronzi farm, which is only 3 years old. The farm may be young, but attention to detail isn’t amiss. For this particular coffee, the best cherries are picked, then sorted by flotation before being fermented for 2 to 5 days. The beans are then sun-dried for between 30 and 45 days on raised beds, taking care to stir regularly to ensure even drying. The result is a blend with notes of orange blossom, pineapple & lime and best brewed as V60, Filter, or Cafetière.

Ethiopia – Banko Gotiti (£14.90, 250G)

A blend straight from the mountains of Ethiopia! Best brewed as V60, Filter, or Cafetiere, you’ll get lime, floral and apricot notes.

Peru – Chilchos Valley (£10.50, 250g)

This year’s Chilchos Valley release holds particular significance for Missing Bean, reflecting a 13-year Direct Trade relationship. Grown in a remote cloud forest valley, accessible only via a 12-hour trek from the nearest road, these beans offer rich notes of blackberry, sultana, and dark chocolate.

These new coffees join Missing Bean’s acclaimed range of ethically sourced, sustainable, and directly traded offerings from around the world.
