The International Women’s Coffee Alliance (IWCA) is proud to announce the IWCA Global Convention 2026 will take place from 12–14 May 2026 at the Bali Beach Hotel in Sanur, Bali. The gathering will bring together women and allies from across the global coffee value chain under the theme ‘Strength in Every Connection: Building Bridges of Leadership, Opportunity, and Change’.

“IWCA was founded on the belief that when women have the tools and opportunities to lead, entire communities transform,” said Blanca Castro, executive director of the IWCA. “Our 2026 theme, ‘Strength in Every Connection’, reflects the truth that progress in coffee happens when we build bridges—between countries, between sectors, and between individuals who share the vision of a more inclusive and resilient future.”

The organisation’s largest international convening to date, the 2026 convention will spotlight the transformational impact of women’s leadership, collaboration across borders, and shared commitments to a more equitable and sustainable coffee future.
The global gathering will focus on connection and impact. Highlights of the event include:

Convention Kick Off — 12 May
○ Keynotes, panels, workshops, and networking sessions addressing sustainability, market access, gender equity, climate resilience, and innovation across the sector.
Global Leadership Summit — 13 May
○ A full day dedicated to IWCA Chapter leaders, focused on capacity-building, governance, collaborative strategy, and storytelling.
Trade Show & International Cupping — 14 May
○ The trade show will showcase organisations, cooperatives, and companies working to strengthen the global coffee community.
Optional Coffee Origin Experiences — 15–17 May
○ Hosted by the IWCA Indonesia Chapter, these guided field experiences offer firsthand insight into Indonesian coffee production, regional leadership, and the on-the-ground impact of women-led initiatives.

For more than two decades, IWCA has championed women across the coffee supply chain through leadership development, global chapter support, market-linkage opportunities, and advocacy. As the industry faces climate pressures, rising production costs, and evolving consumer trends, IWCA’s mission – centering women as drivers of economic stability, environmental stewardship, and community well-being – has never been more vital.

The 2026 Convention will bring together representatives from over 30 IWCA chapters, alongside roasters, traders, producers, NGOs, brands, and partners committed to shaping a more equitable global coffee landscape.

Who should attend:
● Producers, exporters, importers, roasters, baristas, café operators, and retail leaders;
● IWCA Chapter members and aspiring chapter organisers;
● Non-profit organisations, service providers, and social-impact partners;
● Companies seeking to deepen impact, sustainability, and sourcing commitments;
● Researchers, educators, and media covering agriculture and gender equity.
