World of Coffee Geneva 2025 concludes with nearly 20,000 attendees

World of Coffee Geneva 2025 concluded this weekend, drawing an attendance of nearly 20,000 from over 140 countries to Palexpo SA. With strong representation from Europe, the United States, Brazil, and Colombia, the event reaffirmed its place as Europe’s leading specialty coffee trade show. Over three days, the event showcased groundbreaking innovations, inspired collaboration across sectors, and celebrated the talent and diversity that continue to shape the future of coffee.

World of Coffee Geneva featured more than 430 exhibitors, presenting the latest advancements in brewing technology, equipment, and sustainable practices. With the support of sponsors including Host Sponsor BWT water+more, Platinum Sponsor Barista Attitude, Diamond Sponsor Nestlé Professional, and Gold Sponsor Alpro, attendees experienced a bustling, innovation-filled Exhibit Hall at the heart of the event.

This year’s Portrait Country was Colombia, recognized for its deep commitment to sustainability, strong support for producers, and globally respected coffee quality. A range of Colombian exhibitors and tastings highlighted the country’s leadership in shaping the future of specialty coffee.

Highlights of the event

A main highlight of World of Coffee Geneva was the four World Coffee Championships. The following the winning competitors representing their respective competition bodies:

  • World Latte Art Championship: Chen Zhuohao, China
  • World Coffee in Good Spirits Championship: Georgius Audrey Teja, Indonesia
  • World Cup Tasters Championship: Chatchalerm (AKA BOSS), Thailand⁣
  • Cezve/Ibrik Championship: Charles Boyenval, France

The Best New Product and Coffee Design Awards honored outstanding innovation across product categories and brand storytelling.

The CEO Roundtable, moderated by Dr. Krisztina Szalai (Swiss Coffee Trade Association) and Yannis Apostolopoulos (Specialty Coffee Association), explored industry-wide challenges with insights from global leaders.

At the event, Cupping Rooms featured coffees from Peru, Kenya, Brazil, and other origins.

The Education Program entailed Over 20 free lectures and 25 hands-on workshops on topics including roasting science, sourcing, business, marketing, sustainability and more.

The Roaster Villages provided hubs for micro-roasters to share unique coffees and build new relationships.

Tree-planting in Burundi in partnership with Sucafina and Kahawatu Foundation was undertaken as a sustainability initiative to offset event emissions.

The Green Coffee Connect presentation offered business and sourcing strategies for the green coffee sector, presented by Barista Attitude.

The success of World of Coffee Geneva was supported by 276 volunteers; 61% from the EU, 14% from Asia, 17% from the US and 8% from South America, who helped ensure a smooth, welcoming experience for all.

According to the Specialty Coffee Association, planning is already underway for World of Coffee Brussels 2026, taking place 25-27 June 2026. Exhibitor bookings are now open.
