Starbucks unveils summer beverage line up

Starbucks has introduced limited-time beverages, just in time for the upcoming summer season. The new Iced Horchata Oatmilk Shaken Espresso joins returning fan-favourite summer-berry Starbucks Refreshers beverages and a new strawberries & cream cake pop.
Inspired by the flavours of horchata, a popular and beloved beverage throughout Latin America and beyond, the new iced horchata oatmilk shaken espresso features Starbucks blonde espresso, which provides a light, smooth and subtly sweet profile that pairs perfectly with oatmilk and the horchata flavoured syrup – which is a fusion of warm cinnamon, sweet vanilla and subtle nutty notes reminiscent of the rice milk that makes up a traditional horchata.
While horchata recipes vary from region to region, it’s often made with non-dairy milk, sweetened and flavoured with spices, extracts and other ingredients – a reflection of the unique tastes and traditions of the cultures that created it.
“In the central California neighbourhood where I grew up, horchata was everywhere – on street corners, in convenience stores, and on the menu at most Mexican restaurants we visited,” said beverage developer Ricky Gonzalez who helped bring the new beverage to Starbucks. “Every Sunday, we would have a family meal at a Mexican restaurant, and horchata was always a treat for my brother and me. It was icy, sweet, and spiced with cinnamon. It’s both comforting and refreshing.”
The new iced horchata oatmilk shaken espresso is available throughout the summer while supplies last.
Summer-berry refreshers are back after quickly becoming a customer-favourite when first introduced to Starbucks summer menu in 2024. Featuring a sweet and summery blend of raspberry, blueberry and blackberry flavours shaken with ice and water, poured over raspberry flavoured pearls, this returning drink delivers a juicy burst of raspberry flavour in every sip. The vibrant flavours of summer-berry refreshers can also be ordered with lemonade in the summer-berry lemonade refresher or with creamy coconut milk in the summer skies drink.
The summer-berry refreshers are available for a limited time, while supplies last this summer. Explore the Starbucks Reserve summer menu and more here.
