Teatulia wins Great Taste Award
Teatulia has won a 1-star Great Taste 2019 award for its Jasmine Green Tea.
Great Taste is the largest and most trusted accreditation for fine food and drink, with judges looking for great texture and appearance of the product.
Judges undertook a blind tasting of the Jasmine Green Tea and noted that “a good floral note comes through and the infusion has some grip and gentle astringency.”
Every leaf of the tea comes from Teatulia’s 100% organic garden in Tetulia, nestled on Bangladesh’s northern border with India near the foothills of the Himalayas.
All of the teas are grown without pesticides and picked by workers, almost of all whom are female, and provided with free education and healthcare.
Teatulia (UK) CEO and founder Ahsan Akbar, said: “ We are delighted that our Jasmine Green tea has won a Great Taste star.
“This is a wonderful accolade for the Teatulia team, especially everyone working at our tea garden in Bangladesh.”
