The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Launches Califia Farms’ Barista Blend Almondmilk in Select Stores

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leafthe oldest and largest privately-held specialty premium coffee and tea retailer in the United States, is now offering Califia Farms’ Barista Blend Almondmilk as a non-dairy steaming and foaming option at participating store locations. Los Angeles, California-based Califia Farms specially formulated this blend for baristas to smoothly integrate with coffees and teas.

“The Califia Barista Blend Almondmilk is specifically designed for baristas to create great foam and was chosen because of its amazing flavour and great mouthfeel,” said Nurit Raich, director, new product innovation for The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, also based in Los Angeles. “It blends really well with our coffees and teas to craft great tasting dairy-free beverages for our guests.”

Califia Farms Barista Blend, which launched in participating CBTL stores 28 August, is created through an artisan process that uses whole blanched almonds resulting in a creamier texture that is free of gluten and carrageenan. Barista Blend is also non-GMO, kosher, vegan and low in sugar.

“We are thrilled to join with The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf brand to provide this delicious dairy-, soy- and lactose-free option for their customers,” said Brian Lovejoy, general manager of coffee at Califia Farms. “We developed Barista Blend in close collaboration with baristas to ensure it delivers the right foam structure when steamed and a perfect flavour balance to let the coffee and tea lead, which is particularly important for the fantastic range of curated coffees and teas offered by The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf stores.”

In addition to Barista Blend, Califia Farms line of nut milk based creamers available at retailers nationwide, include four flavours of its dairy-free alternative to Half & Half, Better Half, and seven  flavours of its nut milk Creamers. Califia Farms’ creamers contain zero hydrogenated oil, zero high fructose corn syrup, and zero artificial whiteners.
