Origin Coffee, one of the UK’s longest-standing and most awarded specialty coffee roasters, announces a major double product milestone: the launch of its Cold Brew Espresso Concentrate (available online and in-store now), followed by the premium relaunch of its Specialty Coffee Capsules on 3 June 2026.
Founded in Cornwall in 2004 by Tom Sobey, Origin Coffee has grown from its roots into a nationally celebrated brand. This dual rollout marks a significant new chapter, with both products now crafted at a purpose-built Cold Brew Brewery near its main roastery, bringing production in-house for the first time.
The move comes as the UK emerges as one of Europe’s fastest-growing cold brew markets, forecasted to grow at a CAGR of 20.6% between 2025 and 2034 (Expert Market Research, 2026). By sourcing, roasting, grinding, and extracting entirely in-house, Origin gains complete control over every variable, from uniform grind size and precise filtration to gentle extraction. Developed by Origin’s award-winning coffee team and guided by certified Q Graders (coffee sommeliers), both ranges deliver the natural sweetness, clarity, and complexity typically reserved for whole-bean specialty coffee.
“Over the last 20 years, we’ve worked to close the gap between exceptional specialty coffee and how people actually drink it. Bringing both our cold brew concentrate and capsules fully in-house at our new purpose-built Cold Brewery is a natural evolution of that thinking. It allows us to innovate and apply the same care, precision, and respect for producers to formats built for modern convenience – without ever compromising on quality, transparency, or flavour.” – Tom Sobey, Founder & CEO, Origin Coffee.
Cold brew espresso concentrate (available online & in-store now) £8 RRP – 500ml pouch
Brewed with naturally soft Cornish water to enhance clarity, the concentrate uses Origin’s flagship espresso blend, Resolute – a seasonally rotating Central and South American blend sourced through long-term partnerships. The Brazil and Peru launch profile delivers soft fruit and dark chocolate notes that work beautifully black, with milk, or as an effortless base for espresso martinis, espresso tonics, and desserts.
Product highlights:
- Espresso-strength and versatile: Designed to mix easily with water or milk to create iced or hot coffee in seconds.
- Specialty-grade quality: Selected by Origin’s coffee team to the same standards of quality, integrity, and transparency as their award-winning whole-bean range.
- Consistency at scale: Significantly reduces prep time and equipment needs, making it ideal for hospitality, travel, and events.
- At-home simplicity: A premium solution for home coffee drinkers seeking high-quality results without the equipment, variables, or technical know-how.
For home brewers, an online subscription unlocks 20% off the first three orders alongside a complimentary Origin iced coffee glass with the first delivery, followed by an ongoing 10% saving and complete portal flexibility.
