Wollenhaupt launches digital service for specialist and wholesale trade

With the launch of an AI-powered tea chatbot, Wollenhaupt Tee GmbH is consistently expanding its digital customer orientation. The application is aimed at customers, retail partners and interested parties – providing 24/7 support for questions regarding the product range, preparation, flavour profiles, as well as the origin and use of the products. Especially in the B2B business with trade and gastronomy, the AI chatbot enables well-founded consultancy even outside of traditional service hours.

With TEASY, Wollenhaupt Tee GmbH has implemented an AI-powered tea bot tailored to the specific requirements of the tea industry. The AI is based on curated, professionally verified content from the company website and provides sound tea knowledge in an understandable and accessible way at any time particularly where personal consultancy is not possible.

“Wollenhaupt has always stood for tea expertise and quality,” says managing director Dirk Wollenhaupt. “With the AI chatbot, we are making this knowledge digitally usable as support for our customers and partners in the trade. Whether it is questions about the range, product selection, or preparation tips: TEASY delivers fast, reliable answers.”

The bot provides precise information on:
• Preparation, dosage and storage
• Flavour profiles and product recommendations
• Possible applications in gastronomy, specialist retail and concept stores
• Product range, recipe ideas and current tea trends
• Origin, quality and characteristics of individual teas

For the trade, the AI bot represents genuine support: it facilitates range selection, strengthens sales conversations and improves the customer journey, both online and at the point of sale. At the same time, customers receive reliable information at any time, quickly, precisely and independently of service hours.

The application is implemented in compliance with GDPR and is modularly expandable, for example, to include additional languages or further functions. The AI chatbot was implemented in cooperation with the Hamburg-based knowhere GmbH and their AI platform moin AI.

The AI chatbot has been available online on the Wollenhaupt website since 12 January 2026.
