Teatulia UK collaborates with award-winning chocolate company

Organic tea company, Teatulia, has joined forces with Brik Chocolate to create a new line of organic tea-infused chocolate terrazzo tiles and tasting experiences.

Infused with carefully selected herbs and spices, Brik handcrafts each tile with the finest chocolate for a layered taste experience that allows each flavour to emerge one after another. Chocolate is coloured using only natural ingredients, including spirulina and activated charcoal, both well-known for their detoxifying properties.

Uniquely in the UK, Teatulia sources organic tea from its own garden in Tetulia, northern Bangladesh, from where the company gets its name. The garden is the biggest employer in one of the poorest regions in the world. It pays its workers good wages and provides them with healthcare and education.

Tea and chocolate tasting boxes, which launch this week, include three bars of Brik chocolate, three pouches of Teatulia loose leaf tea and an infuser. The boxes can be purchased alone, or with a virtual tea and chocolate pairing workshop.

Both brands share a goal to reduce waste and use eco-friendly materials and packaging. Teatulia will also stock Brik Drinking Chocolate, a zero-waste initiative which sees chocolate offcuts repurposed for the drink. Teatulia UK founder and chief executive, Ahsan Akbar, said: “Teatulia and Brik is an obvious match; both brands offer bold flavours, innovative design, and zero compromise on quality and sustainability.”

Teatulia offers a variety of 11 teas and infusions, including its Great Taste Award-winning Jasmine Green, Oolong and limited edition White Tea. Rich, bold flavours infuse the chocolate tiles, which will be made with organic Earl Grey and Teatulia’s own Masala Cha spice blend.

Brik Founders, designer Kia Utzon-Frank and strategist Raffaella Barruzzo say they are “very excited to partner with Teatulia and use their tea and spices in our new range of chocolate tiles.”

All products are available at Teatulia.co.uk and Brik.site.
