Woken coffee adds its darkest roast yet

Sustainable coffee company, Woken is launching its new flavour of compostable coffee pods, the Deciso blend.

Arriving on International Coffee Day – 29 September – the blend is described as “a well-balanced flavour with a rich and creamy taste. A beautiful crema with a velvety finish.”

The family-owned business wanted to create something that would further expand its current offerings of premium customisable espresso drinks that would encapsulate the stronger taste that consumers crave.

“We’re on a mission to help you make a delicious single-serve espresso and compost it too. Say no to plastic and aluminum pods and make your morning fix better for the environment,” said Woken.

Deciso is the darkest roast of Woken’s flavours offered, which currently include Arabica, and Lungo. The beans for this blend come directly from Columbia, India, Guatemala, Brazil, Ethiopia, and Tanzania.

Woken Coffee pods are 100% compostable and compatible with Nespresso Original Line Machine models.

All products are available for purchase via the Woken website, Goop.com, and Amazon with one box of 10 capsules retailing for $6.75, with subscription services available.
