Caffè Nero Opens at Emirates Old Trafford

Caffè Nero opened a new location earlier this month at the Emirates Old Trafford cricket stadium in Manchester, UK. The stadium might be best known for hosting Ariana Grande’s “One Love Manchester” benefit concert last summer.

The latest addition to the venue follows a 10-year £60-million redevelopment project that was completed in 2017 and includes a new four-start Hilton Garden Inn hotel. Caffè Nero will be accessible from Brian Statham Way and inside the stadium.

Caffè Nero features its standard offering such as ample seating, traditional Italian espresso-based drinks, and a range of food, including pastries baked fresh in store, lunch options and cakes.

“We’re delighted to welcome Caffè Nero to Emirates Old Trafford and are excited to begin this new journey with them,” says Lancashire Cricket CEO, Daniel Gidney. “The Club has been passionate about creating an all-encompassing space for sport, business and leisure for many years, and [with the opening of Caffè Nero], there’s everything you could need on site.” He added that the new Caffè Nero, which sits next door to the Hilton Garden Inn, will benefit everyone from hotel and business guests, to cricket and football supporters and commuters to the Old Trafford area.

The Club will also be offering Lancashire Cricket Members a 10% discount when they present their membership card in store.

“Manchester was the first city outside London where Caffè Nero opened, so we’re really excited to extend our relationship with the city by working with Lancashire Cricket Club to serve its members, staff and general public visiting this historic, but modernised ground,” says Caffè Nero’s head of marketing, Marcus Denison-Smith.

The Caffè Nero at Emirates Old Trafford is typically open Monday through Sunday from 7am – 7pm but may vary depending on events at Emirates Old Trafford and the surrounding area.

The family-owned Caffè Nero Group Ltd is the largest independent European coffeehouse group with 680 stores in the UK, including 38 Harris & Hoole stores. Caffè Nero also operates in Ireland, Poland, Cyprus, Turkey, the UAE and the US and employs more than 6,000 people.
