World Tea Expo 2017 Offers New Features & Expo Hours

World Tea Expo, the 3-day tradeshow focused on advancing the business of tea, opens tomorrow (13 June). A pre-conference programme is to be held today (12 June) in Las Vegas, Nevada at the Las Vegas Convention Center North Hall.

This year’s topics include: Tea Retail Innovations & Trends; Tea in 2021 – Growth Markets, Key Drivers and Opportunities in the Global Beverage Market; Tea in Hospitality; Tea on the Menu and as a Culinary Ingredient; Teas and Wellness; How to Source & Select Your Teas; Hot Brewed vs. Cold Brewed; How to Find Your Niche in a Crowded Marketplace; Launching a RTD Tea in the United States; Sustainable Branding – What Aspects of Selling Tea Can Defy Generational Stereotypes?; The Chemistry of Tea Production; Turning Your Passion Into a Tea Vocation; Tea; and Exploring The Herbal Tea Galaxy.

Additional highlights of World Tea Expo include: the World Tea Awards programme (14 June), which celebrates the best and the brightest in the tea industry; the Best New Product Awards, which recognise the best new tea and related products from among the many exhibitors; the Global Tea Championship (formerly the North American Tea Championship) Winners Tasting Circle, where attendees taste and vote on award-winning teas; the World Origin Tasting Tour, an interactive and educational “tour” of some of the most important tea growing regions; and the Tea Business Boot Camp, an intensive, hands-on programme that covers critical topics facing the tea entrepreneur.

Rona Tison, executive vice president of corporate relations for ITO En (North America) Inc, will receive The John Harney Lifetime Achievement Award on 14 June, during the World Tea Awards programme. Tison will be recognised for her significant support of the tea industry’s growth, innovation and education.

World Tea Expo attracts companies and professionals from more than 50 countries, representing: tea and coffee shops, grocery chains, private label brands, gourmet retailers, convenience stores, distributors, online businesses, restaurants and chefs, foodservice, hotels, distributors, manufacturers and beverage developers, among others interested in building their business through tea.

World Tea Expo’s new exposition hours are: 13 June from 3pm – 6pm, 14 June from 10am – 6pm, and 15 June from 10am – 4pm.
