Teavana rolls out ready-to-drink craft iced teas to select markets

Consumers have a craftier new way to enjoy ready-to-drink teas. Starbucks, in partnership with Anheuser-Busch, began shipping new ready-to-drink premium Teavana Craft Iced Teas to select grocery and convenience retailers in New Hampshire, New York, Vermont and Missouri earlier this month. With the launch of the company’s Craft Iced Teas, Teavana enters the high growth group of premium ready-to-drink tea (RTD).

The new RTDs teas are brewed with premium loose leaf tea and botanicals without artificial flavours. The new iced teas are 100 calories or less and are available in four flavours: Pineapple Berry Blue Herbal Tea, Peach Green Tea, Mango Black Tea and Passion Tango Herbal Tea with a MRSP of USD $2.39.

“Later this summer, Starbucks customers can also find Teavana Craft Iced Teas in participating locations nationally and in 2018, there are plans to bring Teavana Craft Iced Teas to national grocery, mass and convenience stores,” says Sara Gelenberg-Field, marketing director, channel strategy and innovation.

In June 2016, Starbucks and Anheuser-Busch announced plans to work together to produce, bottle, distribute and market Teavana Craft Iced Teas in the US. Starbucks contributes Teavana’s tea expertise, industry-leading retail activation, and consumer engagement capabilities, and Anheuser-Busch leads production, bottling and distribution to retailers nationwide in partnership with its long-standing and well-established network of wholesalers.
