Vienna Coffee Opens Newest Location in Knoxville
Vienna Coffee Company held the grand opening for its second retail location in Knoxville, Tennessee, on 1 December 2017. The new coffeehouse is located at 318 N Gay Street inside a landmark familiar to Knoxville residents, The Regas Building.
Vienna Coffee offered free coffee gear, French Presses, brewers and other coffee accessories every half hour during the opening day celebration, along with coffee and pastry samples and door prizes. Local bands Red Shoes and Rosin and Pistol Creek Catch of the Day performed during the festivities.
The menu for the new coffee house includes all the traditional espresso and coffee beverages that Vienna’s Maryville location is known for. Food includes light breakfast items such as traditional and Vienna’s famous crustless quiche, scones, muffins and quick breads. Light lunch items including panini sandwiches, homemade soups and salads are available every day, including Saturday (the coffeehouse is closed on Sundays).
Three local beers are on tap alongside three nitro cold brew taps on the exclusive ‘Nitro Bar.’ “Our goal is to create the comfortable coffeehouse vibe that invites conversation and meetings for community and business groups alike,” said owner and roastmaster, John Clark. “Last year, we were delighted to be named ‘the state’s best coffee’ by Mental Floss Magazine.”
Clark said freshly roasted, artisan and specialty coffees will be delivered from the Maryville Roastery at least twice weekly to assure the downtown community ready access to these coffees at peak freshness.
