San Francisco Giants players take a swing at being coffee baristas

San Francisco Giants’ fans can celebrate their team pride and love for Peet’s Coffee & Tea with the return of Giants Clubhouse Blend coffee. This year’s blend is a unique Latin American dark roast with spicy, lively notes that provides a long, balanced finish. Peet’s, based in Emeryville, Calif., is donating five percent of proceeds (up to USD $10,000) from the Giant Clubhouse Blend to the Giants Community Fund to benefit underserved youth.

In support of the 2016 Giants Clubhouse Blend, on June 7th, Denard Span and Javier Lopez served local fans their favorite coffee drinks at two Peet’s locations. At the conclusion of each event, Peet’s distributed two separate donations of $2,500 to the respective charities of the players’ choice: Juma Ventures, on behalf of Javier Lopez, and The Denard Span Foundation, on behalf of Denard Span.

The Giants Clubhouse Blend became available at local Bay Area grocery stores, Peets.com and Peet’s Bay Area cafes on Monday, May 9 and is available for a limited time. A 10-oz ground bag is retails for USD $9.99.
