JMV Group Taps Café Crema to Distribute Torrié Coffee in the UK

Portuguese coffee manufacturer JMV Group has appointed Café Crema as the UK distributor of its Torrié range of coffee blends.

JMV started operation in Oporto, Portugal more than 30 years ago, concentrating on further developing the heritage of Portuguese blending by creating blends comprising of both Arabica and Robusta beans in proportions that are proprietary. JMV roasts the beans over a lower temperature for longer periods to lock in the aroma and flavour characteristics of the beans.

Initially, Café Crema will be introducing a home/retail range of products to the UK, which include Nespresso and Dolce Gusto compatible capsules, whole beans and ground coffee along with tea items. Thereafter, Café Crema will roll out HoReCa, professional and a vending range of Torrié coffee products. For HoReCa, Café Crema will offer mainly whole bean Torrié coffee; while coffee pods will be available for the professional/office coffee service (OCS) channel. For the vending sector, they will offer whole beans and soluble Torrié coffee.

Café Crema has approached major supermarkets and smaller, regional chains throughout the UK to distribute Torrié products. MSRP is £3.00 for Nespresso capsules (10), £4.50 for Dolce gusto capsules (16), while the other coffee bean blends range from £8.00 to £16 per kilogram.

Torrié coffee products will be available in the UK by the end of the year.
