Orinoco Coffee & Tea moves headquarters and roasting facility

Orinoco Coffee & Tea, a specialty coffee and tea roaster and provider serving Maryland, Washington, DC, New York, and Virginia, has moved to Jessup, Maryland, the site of the company’s new and larger headquarters.

Continued growth necessitated relocation from Orinoco’s previous space in Columbia, Md. In addition to housing top-of-the-line amenities required to prepare and package Orinoco’s catalog of organic, natural, and fair-trade products, the larger facility – at 8265 Patuxent Range Road in Jessup – also features a coffee research and development room, complete with on-site cupping capabilities.

“Our new location and the operational efficiencies it provides will help us continue to grow and evolve to keep pace with our customer’s needs, while allowing us to provide exceptional products and superior service along the way,” said Orinoco CEO, Pedro Ramirez.

With a roasting legacy that is four generations strong, Orinoco Coffee & Tea services hundreds of retail and grocery store accounts throughout the Washington, DC metropolitan area and New York. In addition to its private-label program, the company offers an extensive line of flavorings, food products, supplies, and equipment for all coffee and tea related needs.
