Buhler AG to host roasting classes at Tea & Coffee World Cup Singapore 2017

Tea & Coffee Trade Journal is pleased to announce that leading coffee roasting equipment manufacturer, Buhler AG, based in Uzwill, Switzerland, is coming as an exhibitor to the 2017 Tea & Coffee World Cup, and will be running comprehensive coffee roasting workshops during the three-day exhibition and symposium. This year’s Tea & Coffee World Cup takes place in Singapore, 26-28 September at Singapore Expo.

The intensive roasting workshop includes both theory (basics of roasting, processing parameters and profiles) and practical roasting (applying techniques learned in the theory portion to actual roasting on small-scale equipment). The roasting classes will be preceded by a session (optional) on cleaning and optical sorting of green coffee and roasted coffee beans (removing coffee defects) run by London, England-based Buhler Sortex.

Dr. Stefan Schenker will instruct the theoretical portion of the roasting workshop that will be held in a classroom setting. Marco Keller will lead the practical roasting segment that will take place out of the classroom and surrounding a small-scale roaster so participants can actively learn roasting techniques.

Buhler will host two roasting workshops per day beginning on 26 September at 11:00. For more information on Tea & Coffee World Cup Singapore and to register for the roasting workshop, email: [email protected]
