A New Name for Eland

Eland Distribution, Canadian distributor of green coffee, announces a name change to Eland Logistics to go with their new logo and new website available at www.eland-logistics.com.

"We decided to change the name to one that better describes the scope of services we offer. To us, adding the word 'Logistics' better conveys that we offer total supply chain management. Distribution is just one function of supply chain management," says Doug Eland, president and c.e.o. "Just as the industry is evolving, so are we. The new name and our new streamlined logo highlight how Eland Logistics has evolved. We're committed to continually providing the best possible service to all our customers and partners."

In this age of value-added services, continually providing the best possible service often entails evolution, expansion, and re-focusing. As the green coffee distribution industry evolved and Eland Logistics' role evolved, a new identity to recognize the changes became necessary. Logistics is the procurement, distribution, maintenance and storage of material. Through expert logistics, Eland Logistics offers professional supply-chain management by improving the way their partners procure resources, and delivers the product to customers.

Formed in 1988, Eland Logistics has been executing total supply chain management for green coffee in Canada for 15 years. Offering a variety of services such as international freight forwarding, warehousing, certified weighing, Canada/ U.S. customs brokerage, transport load brokering, independent surveying and reconditioning, Eland Logistics is the largest supply chain manager for green coffee in Canada.
