The Road to Kuala Lumpur|
Four years ago, our publishing company began printing a bi-monthly trade magazine, Tea & Coffee Asia, which is written specifically for the Asian market. Tea & Coffee Asia editor & publisher Glenn John had previously been an editor with both Tea & Coffee Trade Journal and our Tobacco International. Traveling through the world as the international editor for both publications, he witnessed coffee bars emerging and interest growing in both tea and coffee. John saw an urgent need for information, even basic knowledge, and proposed fulfilling that niche with a specialized trade publication. And in our unwavering commitment to every partner in the industry, we are holding our next Tea & Coffee World Cup Exhibition & Symposium in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from September 26 - 28, 2002.
Since 1993, we have had the fortune of hosting four successful Tea & Coffee World Cup events in Europe. Because of our past accomplishments, many industry professionals asked us to consider having a show in the Asian and Pacific regions.
We decided to take the opportunity to address the emerging markets in Asia and bring our exhibition and symposium to a venue that is easily accessible and affordable for attracting the Asian entrepreneur. This may be the perfect opportunity for manufacturers of tea and coffee equipment and bar/café suppliers to show their wares to the Asian quarter and further boost the burgeoning café and tea bar/café industries. Now is the time to establish business relations in these densely populated countries, they are ready to open the door to these exciting industries.
We picked Kuala Lumpur because it represents a perfect fusion of tradition and progress. Kuala Lumpur has evolved into a vibrant and bustling metropolis with a fascinating skyline of old world pre-war edifices and modern and sophisticated skyscrapers. This diversity is capable of ingratiating several coffee and tea bars.
Our world continues to shrink as the Internet provides an inexpensive way to stay connected to the global community. In recognition of this tool, we have a set up a web site with additional information about Tea & Coffee World Cup Asia at www.tcworldcup.net. Web sites avail products and information to all consumers and Asia is well embracing these tools. Please join us in our opportunity to bring us all together in Kuala Lumpur.
