Tea & Coffee
World Cup
Exhibition &
Symposium

Staf Report

Join us as we hold our 6th Tea & Coffee World Cup Exhibition & Symposium in Europe, in beautiful Hamburg. To date, over 550 booths have been sold, enabling the industry once again to display the many services and supplies so necessary to produce great coffee and tea. Products on display will run the gamut from green coffee to roasting and packaging equipment to brewers and grinders to retail coffee shop equipment. The tea and coffee industries are unique in that many trade members give their time and expertise to help their fellow trade members.

Tea & Coffee World Cup Hamburg features an improved line-up of events, making this year's schedule one of Tea & Coffee World Cup’s most in-depth yet. The three-day event will be attracting an international mix of members from the tea and coffee industries. Past shows have brought thousands of visitors to the exhibition arena.

Over 300 growers, exporters, importers, coffee roasters, equipment manufacturers and tea packers from more than 140 countries are expected to exhibit. Coming to see exhibitors will be every segment of the coffee and tea industries: importers, distributors, foodservice (HoReCa) professionals, tea and coffee specialty retailers, roasters, tea packers, green coffee and tea importers/exporters and brokers.

Educational programs will include topics geared to the tea, coffee, and café bar/service industries. On the retail track, expected topics will include Controlling Growth & Maintaining Quality in Coffee Bar Chains, Bringing Roasting into the Shop, and Choosing Between An Automatic or Semi-Automatic Espresso Brewer. The Coffee track will encompass such topics as protecting our Coffee Origins, Trends in Today’s Pod Markets, and Grinding Technology.

An expanded offering of tea-related workshops will also be part of this year's show, covering such topics as Running a Tea shop/salon, Tea Flavoring & Blending, Product Safety - Global Control Measures and much more.

The Italian National Espresso Institute (INEI) of Brescia, Italy will again conduct their Espresso Seminar Sessions. The Espresso Institute is noted for organizing a highly successful series of learning seminars on brewing and serving a classic Italian espresso in cities throughout Italy. Attendees will learn how to make the classic cup of espresso by getting the most out of the blend, brewer and grinder. In addition, participants will learn cupping parameters and taste expectations. And the final step to becoming an espresso expert is studying espresso menus and accessories. The seminars will be based on the Coffee Taster International Institute’s method. A diploma suitable for framing will be awarded.

Of course, no show is complete without special events and Tea & Coffee World Cup is proud to announce some brand new and extremely exciting events. Follow the spirited cheering on the show floor to the Tea & Coffee World Cup Latte Art Competition, as well as the first World Cup Barista Tournament. These spectacular sideshows will feature competitors from all over the world showing off their latte art pouring and barista skills. The winners will receive a cash prize - and spectators will experience an entertaining and educational showcase of top talent from around the world.

Attendees will also be able to witness the Cup of Excellence cupping of winning lots from at least three countries. An esteemed organization responsible for teaching, grading and culling top quality coffees for special internet auctions, Cup of Excellence will be holding a cupping matching up its best selling origins.

World Cup Hamburg will attract the top talent in the industry, following the success of years past. Visitors will be able to make important industry contacts, including decision-making buyers within the industry.

Whether a business is established or new to the tea and coffee trades, World Cup Hamburg aims to help its attendees and exhibitors meet their business's needs for the coming year. Tea & Coffee World Cup’s main mission is to help them expand their businesses’ share of the worldwide tea and coffee markets - and World Cup has been phenomenally successful in doing so.
