Tetley Appointments
Glynne Jones, president of Tetley Canada, Inc., announced the following appointments.

Walter Snow was appointed as vice president of sales. Snow has been with Tetley for eight years and most recently held the position of national sales manager. In his new role, Walter will provide strategic sales direction and leadership to Tetley’s sales network in Canada.

Dana Johnson was appointed as vice president, finance and administration. Johnson is a chartered accountant and holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Toronto. Dana will be responsible for planning and directly for the finance, administration and I.S. functions for Tetley in Canada.

Tetley provides a full range of black, flavored, green, herbal and iced teas.

Newco Introduces New President
Ken Shea has been named president of Newco Enterprises, Inc., manufacturer of coffee service equipment based in St. Charles, Missouri. Shea is an industry veteran with many years of experience in OCS as well as product distribution. He leaves his job as vice president of operations at the Standard Companies, a post he held for nine years before accepting his new position.

“This is a great addition to our organization,” Joe Webster, Newco chairman says. “Ken has exceptional operational and people skills which will help us grow to the next level.”

Newco Enterprises, Inc. manufactures commercial coffee, tea and water equipment for the food service, office coffee service and water industries.

Steve Schickler Named President of Seattle Coffee Company
Atlanta-based AFC Enterprises appointed Steven Schickler president of its Seattle Coffee Company (SCC) subsidiary.

As president of SCC, Schickler will be responsible for day-to-day management of the company’s Seattle’s Best Coffee and Torrefazione Italia coffee brands. He will be responsible strategizing the domestic and international growth of the company, working towards the goal of positioning SCC as the number two specialty coffee company in the world.

“We are extremely pleased to have Steve join our team. The caliber of his global packaged goods expertise will be extremely valuable as we continue to grow both Seattle’s Best Coffee and Torrefazione Italia brands,” stated Dick Holbrook, president and c.o.o. of AFC Enterprises. “The breadth of Steve’s knowledge in retail and foodservice will make positive strides in meeting the profit and growth goals of both premium coffee brands.”

Schickler has more than 20 years of experience in premium products, packaged goods and their respective marketing field.

Seattle Coffee Company has 106 Seattle’s Best Coffee, and 18 Torrefazione Italia company-owned and franchised cafés in eight countries, worldwide. They have more than 6,000 wholesale customers, including restaurants, foodservices, airlines and hotels. SCC is a subsidiary of AFC, which operates and franchises more than 3,500 restaurants, bakeries and cafés in 27 countries.

MOVERS & SHAKERS
Michaelo Espresso, a full-service espresso equipment company based in Washington, has promoted Danica Sidley to the position of sales associate. As sales associate, Sidley concentrates on sales to customers in the Puget Sound region. She most recently held the position of customer service representative for the company. Michaelo Espresso has served the specialty coffee industry with custom-built espresso carts and kiosks, espresso machines and grinders, nationwide service and supplies since 1983.........Shri Nitin R. Gokarn is the new secretary of the India Coffee Board in Bangalore, India. Since 1990 he has served as a chief development officer, joint secretary of appointments and collector.........Armando L. Cruz was appointed to the position of senior vice president operations at Grindmaster Crathco Systems, Inc. in Louisville, Kentucky. The company manufactures beverage dispensing equipment, including coffee grinders and brewers, espresso machines and frozen beverage dispensers. Cruz has run both domestic and international multi-plant operations and was responsible for a $40 million per month PCB contract manufacturing company.
